A
garden complex in the Spanish-style, the front building was linked to
the back wing by a colonnade of Roman arches flanked by luxuriant
gardens; both no longer exist. Elaborate iron grillwork is used on
windows and in the interior. The flat roof featured a mosaic wall with a
fountain built into it, and was used for outdoor entertaining. All
apartments had tile floors and Spanish-style fireplaces.
The
complex now houses district government offices, with a karaoke bar
punched through the surrounding wall at the intersection corner. |
