in 1996.This book has contemporary photos of China's churches and
synagogues and, thanks mainly to"mish kids" (missionaries'
children), old black and white pictures of some of these churches
and church-related hospitals and educational institutions. The "Jewish
Legacy" chapter contains pictures of recently-discovered Jewish
tombstones in Shanghai. There is also a 77-page list of Catholic and
Protestant missions and missionaries in China in 1934, both alphabetically
and by name of mission station. |
